Recorded October 24, 2022

So apparently there’s a Comic Sans Trick that is good at helping productivity. I’m testing this today. (I kind of fear this will be the author’s form of Rickroll.)

Also I hate recording on the weekend. I will have to take this into account when planning for daily NaNo show next month.

How would NaNoWriMo be different if it were marathon training?

You’d change the time you got up, the time you went to bed, what you ate, when you ate, and your weekends would likely be dominated by long runs. And until you got used to it, your daily life and daily chores would be affected.

NaNoWriMo is marathon training. Treat it like that. Expect it. You got this.

S18 Ep64  |  October 21, 2022

(Episode 63 is a full length episode still in production.)

Let’s ask the tough questions. How do you make a dead baby funny? How do you make a cozy murder mystery cozy when there’s a decapitated corpse in chapter 4? It’s all about emotion. David Sedaris’ short story “Seasons Greetings to Our Friends and Family!!!” can be found in Holidays on Ice. (CW- Dead baby.)

This works for sex too, which I don’t mention in the recording. In the 90s, Rachel and Monica on Friends were considered the feminine sex appeal of the decade, but both appeared in lingerie on the show and it was … not sexy because of the emotion in the scene. (“The One With Rachel’s New Dress” and “The One with Rachel’s Sister”, respectively).

Oh- Doggo update, the vet didn’t want to do X-rays since they won’t do anything immediately anyway, and we already have sedation + X-rays planned for next month schedule and paid for, so we are going to wait till then. So she got to go to the vet for free and get fussed over by her fan club all day with no actual vet prodding, which is not a bad way to live, all things considered. (She loves the vet because they love her there.)

Time to talk prep, but honestly, the biggest obstacle in front of you is your existing day-to-day life. What will have to move aside?
Doggo is at the vet having sedated X-Rays now. Cross fingers. I don’t even know what we’re hoping for. “She’s been faking all along…” would be great, thanks.
