These two blog posts say the first was out of line for a couple of different reasons (note, neither complained that his opinion of their own work was objectionable.) Your thoughts?

Two-part post here:
1) Dealing with writing monthly? Can’t write more often? Write a little cheat sheet note to remind yourself where you left off and where you think things might be going, so that you don’t feel the need to reread the whole partial manuscript just to remind yourself of what your characters are doing (which would then, naturally, leave you open to the temptation to edit). Something short like “Janet’s mother returned, Bob is sick, does Alice need a surprise event?” might do the trick.
2) SHAMELESS REQUEST FOR BLOG VISITORS. I just wrote a blog post about truth in writing that will likely get traffic from a single source (Rachelle Gardener’s agent blog, which inspired my current post) and I am REALLY hoping to get commenters from a broad range of backgrounds. You don’t ever have to come back again, I promise, but I’d love to get a variety of perspectives on this post, because I’m so curious about what people might think… WRITERS! I want your thoughts!
Off to troll for more readers in my other favorite blogs… hope this wasn’t inappropriate or anything…
