I agree with the commitment Key - buying a new laptop has done the same thing for me, I got it at the very end of last year, and this year I’ve already written well over 100k. ^_^

I am going to agree with the buying a laptop thing. There’s sort of that whole Biblical thing about “where your treasure is, there is your heart.” My new laptop has been a good swift kick in the butt.
BTW, thanks for answering my question.

hey - unless i’m blind seems that you got the drop on AISFP in getting the contest going. I have been listening to them and have yet to hear the first - did I miss it somehow….
Comment by Timothy on 21 July 2008:
Buying the laptop will get you motivated, assuming you don’t get a bit distracted with the shiny toy and all the cool games you can now play. I bought a laptop about 6 months ago and have been writing off and on as I commute on the train. Sometimes I’m pretty prolific and sometimes I notice someone reading over my shoulder, which is a bit embarrassing - I’m not good at doing certain things in public!
This may be a bit late, but I love the new website!

As a fellow July 25ther, just wanted to send out a big happy b-day to ya!

Comment by Josh English on 25 July 2008:
Regarding the story bible being made public. If there is a huge fan base, the potential for fanfic (and the author accepting such), and even a series potential for the novel, then a wiki is the way to go. I keep my story bibles on private wikis on my home machine. Transferring the files to a live wiki shouldn’t be that hard should I ever have the need.
Thank you for your honesty. I’ve been in the same boat, but I consider the podcasts stories I listen to during my transit my new reading time. Four to five and a half hours a day on mass transit has given me plenty of time for new stories and podcasts (like ISBW) that I didn’t give myself time for before I gave up my car.
Happy Birthday!
