7th Son OBSIDIAN: A Rose By Any Other Name
June 26th, 2008 • Related • Filed Under
My story, A Rose By Any Other Name, is live on the 7th Son feed. If you’ve followed this blog at all you know that it’s a project I’ve been rather honored and excited to be a part of. My story went live last night. It’s about names and darkness.
If you haven’t listened to 7th Son so far, you won’t be lost. The common thread in OBSIDIAN is: the power grid blows across the US. You don’t need to know how or why. But I highly, highly recommend you download this SF thriller trilogy, it’s fantastic.

This was all kinds of awesome.
I’d definitely want to read/hear more of this story, although the unanswered questions are so juicy that it may actually be better to just have this little taste.

I absolutely loved the story! It’s my favorite from OBSIDIAN so far. And I have to agree with Scooter: I want MORE!

The blackout was there in the perifery but the tale was all Mur. Nicely done.

what a great treat it was to listen to your story for Obsidian. Was definitely a totally different take then I was prepared for and I loved every minute of it, especially the ending.

That was brilliant! I agree with the other posters. The story took place in the blackout, but the blackout wasn’t the story. Excellent job.

Brilliant! I enjoyed every word. The last line gave me chills. Great job, Mur! You’re the best!!!

Hi:
I’ve been catching up with all of 7th son for the last month, and just got to your story. I enjoyed it tremendously, particularly your voice as a fifteen year old, albeit in unusual circumstances. It was interesting reading an Obsidian story where the blackout was not the central motivation for the characters. Thank you, and I believe “Heaven” is now on my “to listen” list.
