Playing For Keeps launch date announced: 08/25/08

I received word recently that Playing For Keeps will be out from Swarm Press on August 25! This is the week before DragonCon, where I’ll be with BELLS on. BELLS, people.

I’m going to be asking you for a favor. If you want this book, if you want to support me for giving away years of free content, PLEASE go to amazon.com (or amazon.co.uk - I don’t know where else in the world it’ll be available, sorry) *on* August 25 to purchase this book. If everyone goes to Amazon on the same day, the book will break into the higher level charts, getting more exposure. This has been proven to be quite effective for other small press podcast authors, and I hope it is so for me.

So mark your calendars! And keep an eye on the blog for a lot more exciting announcements coming up regarding the PFK universe.

    I remember when Sigler’s book was released, he said that pre-orders counted towards the April 1st totals. Would the same apply here?

    Will do MUR. We gotta get the everyone into it though. The question is going to be “Can pod casting sustain it family atmosphere..will they keep helping their own?” The answer friends, needs to be yes or mainstream publishing will forget about “us” just for info will it be more or less the same as the LuLu edition?

    Already got the Lulu version on my bookshelf, but seems like showing a bit of love to your publisher can only be a good idea. Be happy to order that in August. You will remind us, won’t you? :-)

    I can’t see it on Amazon.co.uk so probably the best thing to do is to buy it from Amazon.com on the 25th of August, hopefully the American economy won’t rally between now and then which will mean it’s probably cheaper to buy it from Amazon.com and have it shipped over here than buy it from Amazon UK anyway. :-)

    I also have to remember to buy it in the evening to make sure it’s counted as a 25th purchase rather than a 24th…
