Pie week continues!

Character sketches Mondays

Eric was nothing special - his sister was the one who showed the pie baking talent passed on through their mother’s family. He was happy shoeing horses. But then in a freak accident involving a dull knife, a pint of strawberries and an elected official, his sister had a horrible accident and lost the use of her dominant hand. Eric had to become her hands. So with his sister’s expertise and his hands, they resumed pie mastery. Only, Eric hated pie, and kept up a horse shoeing business on the side, on the black market. He risked his thumbs every few days as he put the shoes on the beasts, and it’s only a matter of time before his sister finds out- either from catching him or noticing the dirt under his nails.

    I’m loving pie-week Mur. what this series is doing for me personally is to get my brain out of the ruts and tracks that I find it easy to get into, so when i something out of the left field like this, it helps get the creative juices flowing again. Good Stuff!
