Interview! Bacon! Progress!

One of my favorite new podcasts is SciFi Surplus, a humorous scifi show. It’s very sharp and well-written, and I was thrilled when they emailed me for an interview. That interview went live this weekend, so check it out, and be sure to subscribe, it’s an excellent show!

Well, the week sucked, no two ways about it. I was sick, thought I was better, then got really sick. Luckily none of it lasted too long, so I was miserable for a total of four days. I got some writing done, managed not to burn the house down or cause lasting damage to the child, and got one game of Arkham Horror in.

But all is well now; I’m writing up a storm, cooking bacon, and knitting robots. Not all at once. But the bacon is going well, as long as I don’t neglect it by blogging.

Progress: I got my Mac back, so I’m able to look at my wordcounts more seriously. I had totally forgotten that the Heaven series is made of NOVELLAS, so their wordcount goals are closer to 25-30K, not 50K. So at 15200, I’m at least halfway there, if not over. Since what I have planned consists of TEH CLIMAX and the lead-in to Season Five, I am pretty pleased with how it’s going.

Underground has been on hold, but I am doing some reading to research, so I’m still keeping it in my thoughts. Once uniting the PC-written words with the Mac-written words, the wordcount on this novel is a little over 20K.

Katie Holmes has been quiet. I think as long as I’m writing, she’ll leave me alone…
