It comes out earlier every year…

I complained about this last year, but feel justified again this year.

Every year Halloween decorations come down and the Christmas decorations go up. Every year. This has been happening since at least the 1960s when they made fun of it in Christmas specials.

People don’t like it. Interestingly enough, there’s enough who do respond to it that the stores keep doing it, but everyone I know hates it.

What bugs me is that every freaking year people act surprised that it’s happening. “They’re going up earlier and earlier every year!” they moan.

No. They’re not.

I have to say that bitching about Christmas decorations bugs me more than the early decorating. Do I see the irony in me complaining about the complaining about the decorations? Sure. I just needed to get this off my chest. Now that’s done, I’ll get ready to cook for Thanksgiving and get ready for Christmas.
